One address for everything real estate: Zillow, Follow Up Boss, the MLS, the office. Use the office pattern firstname.remaxone@gmail.com — clients see "remaxone" and know who you are. A RE/MAX-branded @remax.net address exists but it only forwards; the brokerage recommends the Gmail.
Go to gmail.com → Create account → For my personal use. (Already signed in to a personal Gmail? Tap your photo top right → Add another account first, or you'll just land in your existing inbox.)
You should now seeCreate a Google Account — Enter your name, with a First name box and a Last name box. Last name says optional; put yours in anyway — it has to match your licence.the Create a Google Account name screen Type your first and last name exactly as they appear on your licence. Tap Next.
Enter your birthday and gender. Tap Next.
Google will offer you two suggested addresses. Ignore them and tap the small Create your own Gmail address link underneath — it is easy to miss, and most people accept a suggestion by accident. Type firstname.remaxone (all lowercase, a dot between). Tap Next.
If instead you see"That username is taken": add your last initial — firstname.l.remaxone.Choose a password. Write it in your password manager or on paper in your wallet — you will need it on your phone, your computer, and when the office sets up Follow Up Boss.
Type your cell number. Google texts a code — type it in. Tap Next.
You should now see"Add recovery email". Put your personal email here so you can get back in if you forget the password.Tap I agree on the terms page.
You should now seeyour new empty inbox.Phone: open the Gmail app → tap your photo (top right) → Add another account → Google → sign in with the new address. Tick it as the account to send from.
Put the new address in your Trello card's description (the EMAIL line). This is the email the office uses for Zillow and Follow Up Boss — they must match.
You’re done whenyou can send yourself an email from the new address on your phone.
